Having your own touring caravan or campervan is a great way for you to take to the roads whenever you want and go wherever you want. There is a great deal of caravan sites where you can park your caravan overnight for just the night or any number of nights. However some caravan sites offer more than others so it can pay to do a little researching and planning before you take to the roads and check out caravan site facilities.

The size of the site you choose would have an effect on what was offered. For instance the larger sites could have a swimming pool, hot tubs and gym which you pay to relax in after a hard day travelling on the road. The majority offer showers and bathing facilities but you could check these out ahead of time as mentioned previously as some have only the basic facilities. The larger caravan sites will have shops and again the size and what’s on offer would depend on the size of the site. Some could offer just a small on site shop that sells a little of everything and the basics while others could have a small shopping mall on site.

The larger of the sites would have restaurants for you to eat in and again size would play a huge role in what is on offer. Some could have a choice of places to eat whilst the smaller camp sites might just have a burger bar. So it really does pay to check out what your chosen camp site has to offer by way of caravan site facilities before you arrive.
