European Motor Caravan Insurance
Although many of us think of caravanning as being a distinctly British pastime, there are always going to be occasions when you want to take your motor caravan further afield. Holidays on the continent could be just what the doctor ordered and will be a chance to let you enjoy whole new experiences, so you need to make sure that you have adequate motor caravan insurance that covers any European trips.
This shouldn’t be too much of an issue, as most insurance policies will be able to offer European cover as standard. Insurers understand that not everyone wants to stay in England every day of the year, so by getting this additional cover you’ll be able to hop across the channel whenever the mood takes you without having to worry about any insurance implications.
The only criticism of this type of cover is that it’s usually only offered for a specific number of days each year, so what happens if you want to spend longer over there? While this could be a very valid concern, in reality it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Most insurance policies will offer European cover for at least 200 days of the year, some getting closer to 300, so unless you’re planning on taking a year out to caravan across Europe then it shouldn’t pose too many issues.
Getting this additional cover is even more reason to invest in adequate motor caravan insurance. While you’ll be obliged to have basic cover in place to be driving on public roads, you need to make sure that everything else is covered so you don’t come unstuck in a foreign country. This could turn your dream holiday into a nightmare, so always ensure that you’ve got sufficient European cover in place so you can enjoy your holiday with confidence.
