Static Caravan Insurances and Your Considerations
A static caravan can be the perfect holiday home. It’s ready and waiting for you at a moments’ notice, bringing with it all the creature comforts you need in a location that suits you. But, given the expense of many static caravans it’s important to invest in adequate static caravan insurances if you want to make sure you’re protecting your investment, and if you choose wisely you can be confident that you’re prepared for anything that could come your way.
You shouldn’t even think about owning a static caravan unless you’re willing to invest in appropriate insurance. You wouldn’t consider of not insuring your home, so why treat your holiday home any different? It’s likely to be an incredibly expensive purchase and when you add in the cost of fixtures, fittings and possessions you’ll soon see that provisions need to be made, and with the right insurance policy you won’t have a thing to worry about.
It’s important to remember that you’re looking for a specialist policy that caters to the precise needs of your static caravan, and neither a regular caravan insurance policy nor a home insurance policy will be quite the same. This particular type of insurance will generally cover risks such as fire, flood and accidental damage (ideally you’ll want to include contents cover as well), but given the unique nature of static caravans you’ll have to look a little more closely into your requirements.
The geographical location of many caravan sites means you’ll need to consider cover for things like falling trees as well as cover for frozen pipes – you’ll probably be away from your caravan for many months of the year and you don’t want to find you can’t make a claim should the worst happen when you’re not there. You need to make sure that you’re prepared for anything that could occur and that means you’ll always want to discuss your requirements with specialist insurers that will be able to accommodate, and once you’ve got the necessary static caravan insurances in place you can be confident that everything is under control.
