You’ll need immobilisers such as hitch locks, wheel locks and wheel clamps, and remember other security devices like alarms and trackers.

It’s also a good idea to protect your possessions inside the caravan as well, because even if the thief can’t take the entire vehicle they could still like to get access to its contents. Go for extra security features such as door and window locks, always make sure that all access points are locked whenever you’re not in there and padlock your gas cylinders too so you can be sure that you’ve got all bases covered.

Make sure you reduce your fire risk as much as possible and always camp on registered sites to ensure the safety of your vehicle, and if you have all the security features needed (as well as insurance) you can enjoy your caravan in confidence.
