Tourer Insurance

When looking for tourer insurance there are many ways that you can make savings on your caravan insurance simply by doing a few things before applying for your insurance. As safety is one of the first things that all insurance brokers will take into account as of course they would have to pay out on the policy in the event of a fire, the more secure your touring caravan is then the cheaper you could get your insurance premiums.

Some of the newer more expensive models of caravan could come already fitted with security devices but if not then you could pay out a little more and install them yourself. One of the security devices that you could buy and install is a tracking device. If your touring caravan should be stolen the vehicle could be tracked which could lead to the police finding it and and returning it.

Such a device would of course go a long way towards keeping the cost of tourer insurance premiums down. You could also consider installing an immobiliser if you have a motorhome and even alarms would help to keep down the cost of your insurance. You could also buy a hitchlock and this would prevent anyone from unhitching your caravan from your vehicle whilst you were travelling around if you were to stop at a rest room. If you park your caravan on a secure site then you could also save on your insurance premiums as the caravan would be more secure overnight or when leaving it to go out and explore your surroundings.
