Touring Caravan Insurance Cover

When considering touring caravan insurance cover you can choose the level of cover you need. However you would have to have at the least the bare minimum of cover which would be third party liability protection with repect to towing. This is needed in case you should be involved in an accident and another person, vehicle or property was to be damaged or hurt. With liability cover they would be able to make a claim against your insurance. However 3rd party liability cover would not cover your caravan and any damage that resulted from an accident.

While taking fully comprehensive is not essential imagine for a minute that you have a brand new top of the range model and the worst case scenario should happen and you lost everything in a fire. Without the insurance behind you everything would literally go up in smoke and you would lose not only the caravan itself but also everything in it. With fully comprehensive you would have full cover which would include as standard protection for both the caravan and everything in it against fire risk.
Of course there can also be many extras in touring caravan insurance and these would be found in the features and benefits of the policy you were considering. For example when touring if you are travelling outside of the UK then you may want to ensure that you have European cover included in with the policy, otherwise it could cost a great deal out of your own pocket for towing, repairs and alternative accommodation. You would need to check the limits of any policy you are considering as there would be exclusions and terms and conditions in any policy you consider. For example you would be limited to the amount of days cover you could have when travelling in Europe.
