Start you New Year off with a bang…just not your caravan too!
Make sure you keep your Caravan under wraps and well looked after this winter to ensure your first trip of 2012 starts smoothly. Over the following few weeks Caravan Quoter will give you simple and effective tips to ensure you and your caravan are in tip top condition for the start if the season.
Clear out and store
• Make sure the contents of your caravan is put into storage, valuables are locked securely away and all rubbish disposed of – especially perishable goods as these may attract unwanted guests.
• Remove gas cylinders, ensuring that the valves are closed off and that the gas locker is shut and store in a ventilated location.
• Vacuum and clean from top to bottom the interior of your caravan. This also helps check that you haven’t forgotten anything or left anything in a cupboard that may greet you with a nasty surprise in the spring!
TOP TIP: Remove and put into storage all removable upholstery/cushions in order to avoid the possibilities of damp and mould, if this is not possible, move to the centre of your caravan where they will be less susceptible to ensuing damp.
